Locust Grove 1790
Locust Grove, a National Historic Landmark, is situated on 55 rolling acres just six miles upriver from downtown Louisville. The ca. 1790 Georgian mansion is supported by restored outbuildings, period gardens, and a newly expanded Visitors Center.
Restored and furnished to its original appearance, the mansion reflects the hospitality that once greeted three U.S. presidents, explorers Lewis and Clark, and General George Rogers Clark, founder of Louisville and conqueror of the Northwest Territory.
