Old Louisville, S. Third Street, 1800's

South Third Street, Old Louisville. This Eclectic Style residence was built in the late 1800's in Old Louisville, one of the largest surviving Victorian Era neighborhoods in the United States.

Eclectic style is a mixture of Victorian Era Styles. Victorian styles in this structure include Chateauesque, Gothic, Queen Anne, and Richardsonian Romanesque.

Note the beauty of the double stacked turret on the left side and the onion shaped parapet on the right, (some locals refer to the shape as a Bishops Hat). Also note the leaded glass in each transom window.
