The Castle was built as a pool house in the 1950’s by Theodore Klein, one of the leaders in the regional nursery industry. The former Klein nursery, farm and home place now operates as a botanical garden for the greater Louisville, Ky. community.
Yew Dell Botanical Gardens is a nationally-recognized center of gardening and sustainable horticulture that offers extensive display gardens, a diverse slate of educational programs, family-oriented community events, ongoing garden plant research, and a wide range of private event facilities.
